The Lion of Judah!
"Weep no more! Look, the Lion of the tribe of Judah,
the Root of David, has won the victory.
He is worthy."

The lion is the symbol of God's victory over all the powers of the enemy. The lion is a powerful and intimidating creature. Proverbs 30:30 says, "A lion is strongest among beasts, and does not turn away for any enemy." As such, the lion is a perfect illustration of Jesus Christ.
Ghost of the Darkness
No lion story is more terrifying than that of the true story of Lt. Col. John Henry Patterson's encounter with two man-eating lions while building a railway bridge over the Tsavo River in Kenya in 1898. During a nine month period two man-eating lions stalked the worker's campsites, dragging Indian workers from their tents at night and devouring them. They were responsible for the deaths of a 135 construction workers on the Kenya-Uganda Railway from March through December 1898. It was the inspiration for the movie "The Ghost and The Darkness" 1996.
Chronicles of Narnia
C.S. Lewis portrays the hero in fictitious world of The Chronicles of Narnia as a lion named Aslan, who is king of the lands of Narnia. He is a huge and terrible lion.
When Lucy, one of the children in the story, first hears of the Lion of Narnia, she asks Mr. Beaver, "Is he-quite safe?" Mr Beaver responded, "Safe? Who said anything about safe? 'Course he isn't safe. But he's good. He's the King, I tell you."
The Battle Is The Lords
King Jehoshaphat, King of Israel, (2 Chronicles 20:1-22) is told that a vast army is already approaching from the sea to help the Moabites, Amonites and Meunites already fighting against him. He was overwhelmed and terrified. So he sought counsel from the Lord. The word of the Lord came from a prophet Jahaziel, saying, "Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God's. Stand firm and see the salvation of the Lord." God told them to sing to the Lord and praise his holiness as they went out at the head of the army. As they began to sing, and while they sang, God sent ambushments against the Amonites and Moabites and they were defeated.
What a great testimony to the might of the Lion of Judah to break every power of the enemy regardless of the size and strength of the army arrayed against us.
God has promised us victory in Jesus name.
Isaiah 59:19
So shall they fear The name of the Lord from the west, And His glory from the rising of the sun; When the enemy comes in like a flood, The Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him.
Isaiah 54:17
No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and this is their vindication from me," declares the Lord.
Romans 8:31-39
31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all--how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? 33 Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. 34 Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died--more than that, who was raised to life--is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? … 37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
