For many years I have used illustrations in my sermons drawn from my memories of childhood and a praying mother.
Often people of my congregation would tell me that I ought to write these stories down for generations to come.
In March of 2011 my dad died. His death served to motivate me to write these memories as a tribute to my mother while she is living so that
in this life she may know the powerful affect of her prayers. I wrote this tribute and gave it to her on Mother's Day 2011.
It is my prayer that these memories of miracles will encourage moms everywhere to keep on praying.
Your prayers are effective and powerful.
Even when I am old and gray headed, do not forsake me, O God, till I declare your power to the next generation, your might to all who are to come. - Psalm 71:18
