Rev. Richard W. LaFountain has recently retired as the senior pastor of Grove City Alliance Church in Grove City, Pennsylvania where he has served since 1999 in a congregation that has grown from 180 to 850 in 11 years. Under his leadership the church became a place known for the manifest presence of God where revival, repentance, healings, and conversions became every day experiences.

Dick has served in The Christian and Missionary Alliance for 40 years. He graduated from Nyack College and pursued a masters degree at Alliance Theological Seminary. He served eight years as a missionary to Brazil where he and his wife Marilyn did church planting ministries in the city of Porto Alegre. Dick and Marilyn used a unique outdoor evangelistic approach to church planting through reaching children and families using a mobile puppet theater known as Noah's Ark.

Dick is pastor, teacher, trainer, puppeteer, and a popular speaker at camps and conferences. In addition to pastoral ministries, he has ministered as evangelist, Bible School teacher, teaches Theological Education by Extension (TEE) and has been a speaker at Nyack College, various camps, conferences, and prayer retreats.

He has written numerous articles for Alliance Life and has been published in The Christian Reader and other mission publications, as well as Pray! Magazine. He is a missions researcher and has written and archived over 2000 profiles of Unreached People Groups. He has also written a popular training manual for prayer disciplines with accompanying workbook that has been used by thousands of individuals and churches to revive a love for personal prayer.

Dick served two years at the National Office of the Christian and Missionary Alliance developing the Alliance Web site. He maintains two personal web sites that mentor people in prayer and pastoral ministries. www.PrayerToday.org and www.MinistryToday.org

Dick's passion is to motivate a renewed love for prayer and the presence of God in our churches. He is available as a speaker for churches, retreats, conferences, prayer summits, and church prayer weekends and other revival themes. In his retirement he also mentors and coaches pastors in the ministry disciplines, prayer disciplines and in strategic planning.
