Who's In Charge?
For local churches, the Senior Pastor should be the one to approve and encourage
participation in "The Lord's Watch. " He may choose to select a coordinator.
For other groups, the chief administrator or other designated person should
take the lead or appoint a coordinator, if they so choose.
Who Handles Sign-Up and Other Specifics?
The Sr. Pastor or administrator may wish to appoint a "prayer coordinator"to
oversee sign-up and distribute information sheets to participants. The coordinator
can also be responsible for making announcements or having bulletin inserts about
"The Lord's Watch. " The coordinator should get at least a three head start on
signing up people.
How Many and Who Can Participate?
Participants should be encouraged to take more than just one half-hour segment.
Children and young people should also be encouraged to sign up. They often prove
to be as effective in intercessory ministry as adults. Individuals or groups within
your Body can take segments.
What Do Participants Pray For?
The "What To Pray For" sheet should be photocopied and given to each individual
participant. This can act as a guide during their segment.
What Happens After "The Lord's Watch" Is Over?
Consider appointing a permanent "prayer coordinator" to mobilize the Body to
seasons of fasting, thanksgiving and praise, confession, petition, and intercession.
Prayer should not be limited to local church needs. It should extend out to the
surrounding community, the nation and the world. The ministries of the CMA should
always be part of prayer. Our twin goals remain revival and evangelism.
