Richard W. LaFountain is presently the pastor of Grove City Alliance Church in Grove City, Pennsylvania where he has served since 1999 in a congregation that has grown from 180 to 850 in 11 years under his leadership.

Dick served eight years as a missionary to Brazil with the Christian and Missionary Alliance where he and his wife Marilyn did church planting ministries in the city of Porto Alegre. Dick and Marilyn used a unique outdoor evangelistic approach to church planting through a reaching children and families using a mobile puppet theater known as Noah's Ark.

Dick is pastor, teacher, trainer, puppeteer, and a popular speaker at camps and conferences. In addition to pastoral ministries, he has ministered as evangelist, Bible School teacher, taught Theological Education by Extension (TEE) and has been a speaker at Nyack College, various camps, conferences, and prayer retreats.

He has written numerous articles for Alliance Life and has been published in The Christian Reader and other mission publications, as well as Pray! Magazine. He is a missions researcher and has written and archived over 2000 profiles of Unreached People Groups.
